Supplier Management

Local sourcing

Suppliers are key partners in Walsin Technology's operations, and through close collaboration, we jointly pursue sustainable business operations and growth. In recent years, we have actively implemented local sourcing policies. In Taiwan, 76% of our procurement expenditures come from Taiwanese suppliers; in Dongguan, 63%; and in Suzhou, 79%. This ensures efficient supply.

Supplier audit and social responsibility performance evaluation system

According to Walsin Technology's effective "Supplier Management Regulations," for controlled raw materials, the supplier must sign a "Raw Material Environmental Assurance Certificate" during the import process to complete the import process and be included in the qualified supplier list for subsequent transactions. Currently, the supply chain has no actual or potential negative environmental impact.

Furthermore, Walsin Technology includes suppliers of key raw materials in its "Annual Supplier Evaluation Plan" based on their transaction risk assessment level each year and conducts audits accordingly. The audits cover five categories: labor, health and safety, environment, ethical management, and environmental safety management systems. If the audit results are unsatisfactory, transactions are immediately suspended, and the supplier is required to improve within three months. Transactions can only resume after a successful reassessment.
