The overall demand decreases as the US-China trade war escalates. Walsin Technology’s global consolidated net sales for May totaled at NTD $2.68 billion, down by 5.2% from April. Sales decreased by 31.5% compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin Technology increased by 0.6% when compared to the same period of 2018.

With the total working days resumed to normal in March and in progress destocking at certain end-use customers, Walsin Technology’s global consolidated net sales for March totaled at NTD $2.81 billion, up by 27.2% from February. Sales went up by 6.8% compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin Technology increased by 24% when compared to the same period of 2018.

With working days in January resumed to normal and advanced pull-ins as a prep for the Lunar New Year holidays, Walsin Technology’s January global consolidated net sales totaled at NTD $3.3 billion. WTC’s January sales increased by 8.9% from December 2018. Sales went up by 48.8% compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin Technology thus increased by 48.8% when compared to the same period of 2018.

Affected by fewer working days during the Lunar New Year holidays among customers based in Asia , Walsin Technology’s February sales totaled at NTD $2.2 billion, resulting a decrease of 33.2% from January 2019. Sales were up by 18.6% compared with the corresponding period of the preceding year. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin Technology increased by 35.0% when compared to the same period of 2018.

Affected by year-end inventory control, less working days during the Christmas season and overall demand weakened, Walsin Technology global consolidated net sales totaled at NTD $3.03 billion in December, a decrease of 24.8% from November. Sales were up by 54.6% compared with the corresponding period of 2017. YTD cumulative revenues of Walsin increased by 121% compared to the same period of year 2017.

Affected by fewer production days during the Golden Week holidays and the intensifying trade war between China and the US, customer orders from China weakened in October. As a result, Walsin Technology global consolidated net sales totaled at NTD $4.77 billion in October, resulting in a decrease of 24.2% from September and an 149.7% increase when compared to October 2017. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin increased by 131.8% compared to the same period last year.

Affected by the US-China trade war and channel destocking, demands from China weakened in November. Hence, Walsin Technology global consolidated net sales totaled at NTD $4.03 billion in November, resulting in a decrease of 15.5% from October and an 92.3% increase when compared to November 2017. YTD cumulative revenue of Walsin increased by 127.6% compared to the same period last year.

Walsin Technology will showcase its product solutions addressing automotive, networking, industrial, and green energy at the electronica Munich. Held every two years, the electronica Munich is the international trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications. This year, the exhibition will run from Nov.13 to Nov.16.
